Joy Huntington is the Principal Consultant and President of Uqaqti Consulting LLC, an Alaskan community relations and communications firm.

Uqaqti just celebrated its 10-year anniversary in 2021! Joy has effectively led communications efforts and facilitated public meetings across the state in over fifty villages statewide. She has 20 years of experience in rural communications and outreach.

Sean Solie

PROJECT MANAGER

Sean currently works as the Project Manager for Uqaqti Consulting, an Alaskan community relations and communications firm. Sean’s work with Uqaqti focuses on supporting strategy, operations, logistics, outreach, and communication for a diverse set of projects across the state. Prior to joining Uqaqti, Sean worked as the Project Coordinator for the Alaska to Alberta Railway Development Corporation (A2A) – a venture to connect the Alaska Railroad with the North American railroad system. Before working with A2A, Sean worked as a staff member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee (Committee) for Senator Lisa Murkowski. During his tenure with the Committee, Sean supported various staff members on issues ranging from energy, natural resources, to public and territorial lands. Prior to joining the Committee, Sean worked for a small outfit servicing remote areas of Alaska in IT support such as data management, cloud services, telecommunications, and office and software products.

Born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska, Sean has experience working on various geo-exploration projects around the interior. He attended Montana State University (Bozeman) and subsequently the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where he completed his B.A. in business management with a concentration in finance. In his free time, Sean enjoys the many outdoor activities Alaska has to offer with his son, Liam.

Teisha Simmons

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT + MARKETING

Teisha is Central Koyukuk Athabascan and grew up in the villages of Galena and Koyukuk. Teisha graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2000, and then again with a master’s degree in Community-Clinical Psychology in 2003.

Teisha has a 20-year career working throughout rural Alaska in teaching, senior administration, and community development. She currently lives in Fairbanks with her partner Zac and daughter Tassy.

Morgan McCammon

PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SPECIALIST (CONTRACTOR) | DOWL

Morgan is a public relations professional with more than a decade of experience supporting highly specialized industries with communications and policy analysis. Morgan’s strengths include consensus building within diverse partnerships, crafting communications plans, and coordinating collaborative advocacy activities.

With meticulous attention to detail, Morgan is also skilled at copy editing, project administration, and event management logistics. Her professional experience has encompassed projects and teams throughout Alaska, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, and North Dakota.

Lindsay Johnson

EXECUTIVE ASSTANT | BUISINESS SUPPORT

Lindsay has been on the Uqaqti team since March of 2019 and lends a multitude of skills to our success. Formerly in the construction and oil & gas industries, she learned a plethora of skills in a variety of areas, making her a multifaceted asset.

With over 25 years of business support experience, Lindsay is familiar with the successes as well as challenges of doing business in the great state of Alaska. In her free time, Lindsay enjoys traveling, getting too much sun, learning, and all things creative.
